Here is a short, practical guide for adopting and advancing The Integrity Pledge.

1. Review the Pledge

The Pledge is designed to be practical, nonpartisan, and consistent with the responsibilities of public service.

2. Make a Public Commitment

If the principles align with your leadership approach, consider making a clear, public commitment. Sign the Pledge and share that commitment publicly--through a brief statement, a post on your website or social media, or an announcement at your next town hall or public event. 

Example: “I've signed The Integrity Pledge and commit to governing with honesty, respect, and a focus on real solutions.”

3. Share The Pledge With Your Team

Discuss the Pledge with your staff and communications team to ensure that your commitment to integrity is reflected in all public messaging, constituent interactions, and legislative priorities.

4. Encourage Others to Participate

Help normalize integrity as a shared expectation by encouraging colleagues to sign the Pledge.
