“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.”

Democracy is not a spectator sport:
1. Contact your representatives and ask them to sign the Pledge and thereby publicly commit to integrity, honesty, and effective service. Better yet, make an appointment with your local representatives' offices and take copies of the Pledge to them personally.
2. Check out this bipartisan working group of lawmakers and write an email expressing your support for their initiative. Ask them to commit to signing and supporting the Pledge:
3. Seek more information from groups that support Congressional reform and pragmatic problem-solving in Washington:
Bipartisan Policy Center and its affiliated organization, Bipartisan Policy Center Action
None of us can turn Congress around alone. We need to build a loud, public, and bipartisan movement that empowers our leaders in Washington to shatter the current toxic and utterly ineffectual political environment. Only then will our lawmakers be able to represent us with Integrity and get back to the critical work of solving problems for the American people. The Integrity Pledge provides a common and unifying set of principles to do just that. But we all need to pitch in.
